131   Disciplinary levy

    131 Disciplinary levy

  (1)  Each authority may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, impose
on every health practitioner registered with the
authority a disciplinary levy of any amount that it thinks fit for the purpose
of funding the costs arising out of---

      (a)  the appointment of, and any investigation by, any professional
conduct committee; and

      (b)  proceedings of the Tribunal.

  (2)  Any notice imposing any levy under this section may exempt from
liability to pay that levy any class or classes of health practitioner
registered with
the authority, and may provide for the waiver or refund of the whole or part of
that levy.
