147   Persons holding provisional certificates or probationary or temporary registration



   147. Persons holding provisional certificates or probationary or
 temporary registration---(1) Every person who, immediately before the
 commencement of this Act, held a provisional certificate under the
 Medical Practitioners Act 1968 shall, on the commencement of this Act,
 be deemed to hold interim registration, and, subject to sections 31 and
 32 of this Act, that registration shall expire at the same time as the
 certificate would have expired if this Act had not been enacted.

   (2) Every person who, immediately before the commencement of this Act,
 held a certificate of temporary registration under the Medical
 Practitioners Act 1968 shall, on the commencement of this Act, be deemed
 to hold temporary registration on the same basis as appeared in the
 certificate, and, subject to sections 26 and 27 of this Act, that
 registration shall expire at the same time as the certificate would have
 expired if this Act had not been enacted.

   (3) Every person who, immediately before the commencement of this Act,
 held a certificate of probationary registration under the Medical
 Practitioners Act 1968 shall, on the commencement of this Act, be deemed
 to hold probationary registration, and, subject to section 18 of this
 Act, that registration shall expire at the same time as the certificate
 would have expired if this Act had not been enacted.
