Complaints against Medical Practitioners
83. Complaints against practitioners---(1) Any person who wishes to
make a complaint against a medical practitioner may give notice of the
complaint to the Health and Disability Commissioner or the Registrar.
(2) A complaint may be made either orally or in writing.
(3) Without limiting the right of any person to make a complaint in
accordance with subsection (1) of this section, a complaint may be made
under that subsection by---
(a) The Minister; or
(b) Any person in the service of the Crown acting in an official
capacity; or
(c) Any member of the Council or the Tribunal; or
(d) Any person on behalf of the Accident Rehabilitation and
Compensation Insurance Corporation.
(4) Where a complaint is made under this section to the Registrar, the
Registrar shall forthwith notify the Health and Disability Commissioner
and the president of that complaint.
